Position Summary

The Business Process Owner Planning and Factory Systems is responsible for driving process optimization and standardization in the Planning systems together with Wearhouse and Manufacturing area. The role focus will be on specific processes, technology and systems for SIOP platform and Smart Factory (Industry 4.0) including Manufacturing & Logistic Execution Systems. BPO Planning & Factory Systems will develop, implement and drive innovation and continuous improvements capabilities.

Your Role

The Business Process Owner Planning & Factory Systems will be responsible for the specific processes, technology and systems for End to End Planning and Smart Factory (Industry 4.0).

More specifically will be in charge of:

  • Designing, developing, implementing and driving continuous improvements of the “capabilities” to support Smart Factory Initiative, applying innovative concepts and best practices as per Industry 4.0.

  • Collaborating with Operations, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, IT and other support functions to drive selection design and configuration for right technology and data solutions. Being a change agent by clarifying the linking impact of the new solutions and ways of working including the IT, data, people, process solutions.

  • Utilizing Smart Factory elements to improve processes and productivity. Develops proof of concept and then scales up to production levels locally and cross plant.

  • Mapping new innovative solution, in terms of processes, technology and ways of working, aid to achieve the vision of future factory and translate these into an implementation plan.

  • Tracking and reporting progress on Smart Factory projects to all stakeholder

  • Act as BPO for planning platform (SIOP) assuring the support for any new improvement and process extension including trainings and process mapping.

  • Make the connection between the Global Planning Team and the technical team that assure the support of the systems including SAP data alignment

  • Support Global Planning Team in increasing the planning acumen across APTIV ASUX

  • As part of the Global BPO team, coordinate the process standardization across APTIV ASUX for planning and Smart Factory using lean methodologies

  • Fostering innovation in the Planning and Factory in regards of processes and systems, keeping up to date with industry standard and benchmarks.

Your Background

  • Bachelor of Science in Technology or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent

  • Knowledge and Experience on advanced technologies, processes and solutions for Smart Factory (WMS and Industry 4.0);

  • 3+ years Advanced knowledge of Technology / Solutions to enable PULL, Lean logistics, Material flow/handling principles. Deep knowledge of Systems for Production Planning and Manufacturing / Logistic Execution and Integration with ERP Applications (SAP, etc)

  • Knowledge and Experience of End to End Planning process including Sales and Operation Planning methodology

  • Experience in working with Planning tools like SIOP platform or APO SAP module can be a plus

  • 5+ years of Experience in Information Technology Engineering in a fast paced technology industry;

  • 2+ years of Project management experience

  • Good knowledge of the English language

  • Analytical mindset, strongly process driven and used to view the performance through “process and people” angle.

  • Good working knowledge of ERP and integration with other systems

  • Experience in a challenging automotive environment

Nice to haves (preferred qualifications)

  • Green Belt Certification or equivalent

  • Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.

  • Basic knowledge on Six Sigma principles and tools.
